The Role of Student Activities in Saudi Universities in Achieving The Goals of Kingdom's Vision 2030 from Students Point of View

Abstract

Abstract:
The study aimed at identifying the role of student activities in Saudi universities in achieving the goals of Kingdom's vision 2030 from students point of view. The qualitative design was used through the study tool (questionnaire). A sample of (384) students from Saudi universities was assigned. The results of the study revealed the role of student activities in Saudi universities in developing skills to deal with technological innovations in light of vision 2030 as it yelled (80.33%) with average (2.41), which is high. Also, the role of student activities in the development of creativity in light of Vision 2030 denoted (84.00%) with average (2.52), which is high. The third result was the role of student activities in the development of leadership skills in light of vision 2030 which revealed (82.33%) with average(2.47), which is high. Moreover, the role of student activities in the development of telecommunication and communication skills in light of Vision 2030 was (84.67%) with average(2.54) which is high. Also, the role of student activities in providing training and adaptation requirements in light of Vision 2030 was (79.67%) with average(2.39) which is high. Nevertheless the current study found that there are no statistically significant differences at (0.05) regarding the factors of the questionnaire between different universities, males and females, or between different ages. There are differences in the fifth factor in favor of students aged 19years. There are non-significant differences between theoretical and practical colleges except the second and fourth factors and in favor of theoretical colleges.
