Development of the leadership of the Saudi religious institutes in light of the participatory leadership approach A proposed strategy

Abstract

The study aimed at presenting a proposed strategy for the management performance of the Saudi religious institutes in light of the participatory leadership approach, and identifying the status of applying such approach and the obstacles to its application in the Saudi religious institutes. The analytical descriptive method and the research documentary method were utilized. The total number of research participants reached 176: (66) Institute directors and (110) vice-directors.  The results of the study showed that the status of applying participatory leadership approach in the Saudi institutes scored a mean of (2.98), and that the obstacles to its application were high and with a mean of (4.03).
‏          The results of the study also highlighted the most important requirements for applying participatory leadership approach in the Saudi religious institutes. Furthermore, the study presented a proposed strategy for the development of the management performance of the Saudi institutes in light of participatory leadership approach
