A Structural Model of the Relationships between Psychological Reassurance, Psychological Flow and Academic Perseverance for Students of the Faculty of Education

Abstract

The current research aimed  to reveal the optimal structural model that explains the relationships between psychological reassurance, psychological flow, and academic perseverance among students of the Faculty of Education - Alexandria University, as well as understanding and interpreting the direct and indirect effects of psychological reassurance, psychological flow, and academic perseverance, The sample consisted of (420) male and female students, including (185 male students, 235 female students) from the third and fourth year students at the Faculty of Education - Alexandria University, The research tools were represented in the psychological reassurance scale prepared by the researcher, the psychological flow scale prepared by the researcher, and the academic perseverance scale prepared by the researcher, The results showed that the research variables form a structural model that explains the relationships between psychological reassurance as an independent variable, psychological flow as an intervening variable, and academic perseverance as a dependent variable in the research sample, and the presence of a statistically significant positive direct effect of psychological reassurance on psychological flow, and the presence of a statistically significant positive direct effect of psychological flow on academic perseverance, and the presence of a statistically significant positive indirect effect of psychological reassurance In academic perseverance through psychological flow.
