A Proposed Compensatory Electronic Course in Mathematics in the Light of Analyzing the Percentage of Educational Loss for the Middle and Secondary Stages during the Corona Pandemic

Abstract

The current research aims to monitor some cases of educational loss among middle and secondary school students in the State of Kuwait in mathematics after learning by the two-group system in schools after the Corona pandemic, Proposing an electronic course to compensate for the educational loss in mathematics during the Corona pandemic, The researcher analyzed the opinions of some specialists in mathematics education (teachers - department heads - technical advisors) at the middle and secondary levels in the State of Kuwait, regarding mathematics subjects in which the percentage of educational loss was higher than other subjects, and the causes of the high percentage of educational loss in mathematics, and appropriate solutions to overcome the problem of educational loss in mathematics in the light of what was proposed by specialists, and the percentage of educational loss varied Between male and female students and between the intermediate and secondary stages, qualitative differences were found in the light of these variables. Mathematics topics were identified in which the percentage of educational loss was higher than other subjects. Mathematics subject in the light of what was proposed by the specialists, and the research is descriptive and analytical research based on monitoring the problem, analyzing it, identifying the causes, and proposing solutions. The scores of the survey test (diagnostic test) were relied upon for the subject of mathematics for the middle and secondary stages with the beginning of the academic year 2022/2023 in the State of Kuwait and personal interviews.
