A proposed Islamic Program for the Educational Role of Faculty Members in Guiding University Students towards Confronting Rumors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The research aimed to reveal the educational role of faculty members in directing university students towards confronting rumors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to strengthen it through a proposed Islamic program. The research used the descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach according to the requirements of the study. The research concluded that rumors are found wherever people are found, and that they represent a source of concern in the social structure of all societies, and that confronting them helps achieve balance for society by identifying the various reasons for their launch, popularity, and spread, identifying their sources, and addressing these various reasons to control and confront them. The research emphasized the following: It is necessary to adhere to the Islamic approach in preventing and treating rumors, through verification and clarity in accepting the news .Be careful and not rush in spreading the news, because verification is of great importance and great status in the Holy Qur’an, as it corrects the individual’s missteps and steps, purifies society of everything that harms it, and preserves the unity of the Islamic nation. The study also confirmed that the educational role of faculty members in directing university students towards confronting rumors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was low before implementing the program, and that the educational role of faculty members in directing university students towards confronting rumors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was high after implementing the program, and that no There are differences between the results of the experimental group between the post and follow-up applications, which indicates the effectiveness of the program and the persistence of its impact.
