The effectiveness of learning in the development of motivation towards the women in the first grade 6 in the city of the Office of The Honor

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the effectiveness of the use of Gamification in the development of motivation to learn mathematics among sixth grade elementary school for female Students in Makkah. To achieve this, the researcher followed the semi-experimental method based on the design of the two groups: experimental and control, and then had designed a motivation standard to learn mathematics. The sample consisted of (57) students divided into two groups: experimental group (28) students were taught using Gamification strategy, and a control group (29) students were taught using traditional method of teaching. The data were processed using the t- test of two independent groups and the use of the ETA to measure the size of the effect of the Gamification in the development of motivation towards the learning of mathematics, and to measure the efficiency, the average of earning rate of Black has been calculated. The output of the study is:
          There are differences between the means of the experimental and control groups in the post-measurement for the motivation to learn mathematics at the dimensions of challenge, learning enjoyment, confidence, self-efficiency and the total score all toward the experimental group.
          The effect size of the use of Gamification in the development of the motivation to learn mathematics was larger than the traditional method of teaching at all dimensions and also the total score was larger.
In light of the findings of the research, a number of recommendations were presented, including: using Gamification strategy in teaching mathematics, training the teachers to teach mathematics according to Gamification strategy, Providing the supportive environment with the necessary assistance and resources for teaching in accordance to the Gamification strategy.
