Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the scientific application gap in the curricula and methods of teaching by identifying the meanings of gaps and the gaps in scientific application in the curricula and teaching methods. To achieve this, the research relied on the descriptive approach to extrapolate, analyze and discuss theoretical framework and research studies related to scientific gaps in Curriculum and Instruction. The research concluded that there is agreement among researchers on the most prominent gaps in the applied methods and methods of teaching is the common use of descriptive research and the lack of experimental research. In addition, there are many repeated scientific research which leads to deficiencies in creativity and originality. Further, there is no integrated plans or clear vision of the research path. Accordingly, the researcher developed a number of proposals to fill these gaps, and suggested a set of recommendations: to reduce the use of the descriptive approach in the research of master's and doctorate, to increase the use of experimental approach, to make integrated plans and clear vision of research submitted by postgraduate students in the field of curricula and teaching methods, to verify the real research needs needed in the educational field, and to try to fill gaps between the researcher and practitioner in the field of education and decision-makers in the educational process, the inclusion of a database of titles and fields of research, and encourage students to apply the scientific research on international levels.
