The reality of the training needs of the members of the faculty of university college in Jamum - Um al-Qura University - in light of the standards of quality and academic accreditation

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the training needs for faculty
members in Al Jummum College provided by the quality assurance
departments and their units in the light of the quality standards and
academic accreditation from the perspective of the faculty members. In
addition to identifying the difficulties that are facing them and limiting the
benefits of the training programs provided to them. The researcher has
adopted descriptive and analytical approach. Study population includes all
faculty members. The sample of the study consisted of 30 members, were
chosen randomly. A questionnaire was developed to collect data.
The study found that the level of the reality of the training programs
provided by the quality assurance departments and their units in the light of
the overall quality standards from the point of view of the faculty members
was medium. Where it was found that the majority of faculty members have
sufficient background to prepare the course's course as well as the
description of the course for all courses taught. While there is a weak budget
for quality courses. And that the level of difficulties faced by members of the
faculty was a medium, and the most important difficulties that limit the use
of faculty members. The study has recommended that it is important to
develop an annual training program for faculty members to improve their
performance in the field of quality and some mechanisms have been put in
place to achieve this.
