A Suggested Proposal to Activate Community Participation in Preparatory Stage Schools in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the mechanisms of activating community participation in preparatory stage schools in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to male and female preparatory stage teachers' perspective, and to develop a suggested proposal to activate it. The descriptive survey method was used through the study instrument: a questionnaire administered to a sample of (382) male and female preparatory stage teachers. The study concluded a number of results, including: it was approved with a high degree on the suggested mechanisms to activate community participation in preparatory stage schools in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to male and female preparatory stage teachers' perspective, and the role of community participation in developing the students' skills in preparatory schools came in the first place, followed by the role of community participation in financing preparatory schools, followed by the community participation role in the professional development of preparatory school teachers. The study also indicated that there are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the questionnaire dimensions between males and females, except for the second dimension and differences in favor of females. It concluded that there are significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the questionnaire dimensions and the total score among the different qualifications in favor of Ph.D. as well as the presence of differences between the different years of experience in favor of :from 10years to less than 20years. A suggested proposal was developed to activate community participation in preparatory stage schools in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
