Managing Teamwork at the Faculty of Education for Boys in Cairo, Al-Azhar University, and the Requirements for Activating them "Case Study"

Abstract

The study aimed to present a proposal for activating teamwork management at the Faculty of Education for Boys in Cairo, Al-Azhar University. As a result, the study adopted case study method, besides the standardized personal interview as a suitable technique with a sample of (105 participants) from the faculty members at the Faculty of Education for Boys in Cairo - Al-Azhar University to find out the current management of teamwork, its challenges and the requirements for activating it according to their perspectives, so as to consist with the theoretical and intellectual framework of managing teamwork in university institutions in the literature of contemporary, educational and administrative thought. The results indicated that the most important challenges facing the management of teamwork at the Faculty of Education for Boys in Cairo, Al-Azhar University are lack of interest in providing incentives and appropriate rewards for distinguished teamwork, weakness of employing modern technology in communication so as to complete teamwork tasks. The study ended with presenting a proposal for activating the management of teamwork in the faculty through many requirements, including: preparing an organizational map showing the teamwork at the faculty level, its regulations, the mutual relations among them, the roles assigned to each teamwork, its vision, objectives and mechanisms of coordination among the teams, so as to achieve the faculty strategic direction.
