The effectiveness of a training program based on Kolb's experiential learning theory In strategic thinking among university students

Abstract

The present research aimed at investigating empirically the effectiveness of a training program based upon the Kolb’s experiential learning theory in strategic thinking among Sample of the the Taif University students, took part in the research of sixty-two students from among the students of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Participants were divided into two groups, an experimental and control, each of which consisted of thirty-one students, Where the researcher prepared the strategic thinking scale with the aim of verifying the effectiveness of the experimental treatment in the dependent variable, and he also prepared the training program based on the theory of experiential learning, and the experimental group was exposed to the training program with Twenty-two sessions at a rate of two sessions per week, and the other control group did not receive training, and After completing the training program, the Strategic Thinking Scale was applied and the results indicated that there were significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the strategic thinking scale in favor of the experimental group, and the continuity of that effect during the follow-up measurement for the experimental group after four weeks of post-measurement, and those results were interpreted In light of the results of previous research and the theoretical framework.
