Abstract

The “text” is a fertile structure for the development of effective learning to think as a creative linguistic document; It provides the reader or listener with opportunities for active interaction that leads to reaching the highest levels of thinking. However, most students of the first secondary level in the Egyptian Nile schools face great difficulty in absorbing the text and transcending its superficial structure to its deep structure and rebuilding it- Meta text -, and the low thinking processes associated with it. - This is proven by field experience and the results of the exploratory experiment in the current study-, and then the current study aimed to demonstrate the impact of a proposed strategy based on the interaction between intertextuality and semantic maps on the development of deep understanding and analogical thinking Meta text among students of the first secondary level in the Egyptian Nile schools. To achieve this goal; A set of tools and materials were prepared, including the preparation of the deep understanding test, the analogical thinking scale, and the reformulation of two units of the course in light of the interaction between intertextuality and semantic maps. One of the students of the first secondary level in one of the Egyptian Nile schools in the third study period in the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019. The results of the study resulted in a large effect size for the proposed strategy based on the interaction between intertextuality and semantic maps for the development of deep understanding and analog thinking Meta text among the students of the experimental group, compared to a small effect size for the usual methods that were used with the students of the control group, and in light of these results, the researcher presented A set of recommendations and proposed research.
