The Role of Electronic Journalism in Enhancing Tolerance Values among the Students of Mutah University from their Viewpoints

The present study aimed at researching the role of electronic journalism in enhancing tolerance values from the viewpoints of MutahUniversity students. A questionnaire consisting of (41) items under four dimensions, namely, religious, scientific, social, and political tolerance was developed for fulfilling the purpose of the study. The questionnaire was completed by the study participants totaling 720 students during the academic year 2017/2018.The results attained revealed that:
-                   Electronic journalism has an average role in enhancing the tolerance values among MutahUniversity students in total.
-                   The electronic journalism has an average role in enhancing the tolerance values in the four dimensions as the social tolerance came first, the religious tolerance came second, the political tolerance came third, and the scientific tolerance came fourth.
-                   There were no statistically significant differences in relation to role of electronic journalism in enhancing the tolerance values among MutahUniversity students (males versus females and the faculty type). On the other hand, the results showed some differences that may be attributed to the spent internet hours in favor of those who spend more hours.
