The Effectiveness of a Computer-Based Smart Games Program to Improve Articulation for Primary School Students with Reading Learning Disabilities

Abstract

The present study aims to identify the effectiveness of a computer-based smart games program to improve pronunciation among primary school students with learningdisabilities , The sample of the study consisted of (30) students of elementary school who have learning disabilities who have defects in pronunciation of the schools of Amrobn Al-Aas primary and primary school in Riyadh Educational Administration in Kafr Al-Sheikh, , Based on the results of the Diagnostic Assessment Scale for Reading disabilities (Fathi El Zayat 1999) and the Speech Evaluation Scale( by Abdul Aziz Al-Shakhs(1997)
They were divided into two groups An experimental group of (15) students with learning disabilities who have speech defects were exposed to the training program, , And a control group of (15) students with reading disabilities who have speech defects were not exposed to the training program , (9-12) years. The results of the study indicated the effectiveness of the training program in improving pronunciation and improving reading among students in the experimental group, The experimental group also surpassed the control group in the improvement of the measures (learning disabilities reading - assessment of pronunciation) after the exposure of the first group of the training program
