Effect of Program based on the emotional Regulation cognitive Strategies to develop psychological Resilience and positive Thinking of high academic Stressors University Students

Abstract

The current research aims to develop both psychological resilience and positive thinking among university students with high academic pressures. as the research was applied to 40 students with high academic pressure from Department of Psychology for the academic year 2020/2021 and they were divided into an experimental group (22) and a control group(18) . the quasi-experimental approach was used, and after statistical treatment of the scores of the experimental and control groups, the Results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the average Ranks of the experimental and control groups in the post measurement of the two variables of resilience. Psychological and positive thinking for the benefit of the experimental group, The research found also a statistically significant Relationship between the psychological Resilience and it's Sub-dimensions and the positive Thinking and it's Sub-dimensions, The research showed also that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean Ranks of the experimental group Scores in the post-measurement and the mean of their scores in the Follow-up measurement on each of the of psychological Resilience and positive Thinking and their Sub-dimensions.
