Experimenting the strategy of climbing the plateau in teaching history to develop cognitive achievement, meta cognitive skills and mental alertness among first-grade secondary students

Abstract

The current research aimed the Effectiveness of Using the Plateau Climbing Strategy in Teaching History to develop Cognitive Achievement, Metacognitive Skills and Mental Alertness Among First-grade secondary students, and the Research group consisted of (60) Students from first-grade Secondary Students who were divided into two groups, one of them Experimental and it consisted of (30) Students And the last one was a female officer and consisted of (30) students who were chosen from Ahmed Taha Hussein Secondary Joint School of the Aswan Educational Administration, and the descriptive Curriculum was used, and the Semi-Experimental Approach, and the Problem of the Current Research has been identified in the Weakness of cognitive achievement, meta cognitive skills and mental alertness among first-grade students Secondary, and the researcher reached conclusions: There was a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the Cognitive Achievement test, the Meta Cognitive Skills Scale, and the Mental Alertness Scale for the benefit of the Experimental group students, and the rate of adjusted gain was for "Blake." "It is generally Acceptable for Cognitive Achievement, Meta Cognitive Skills, and Mental Alertness. The size of the impact of the strategy is generally high for Cognitive Achievement, meta cognitive skills and mental alertness, meaning that the strategy is effective in developing Cognitive Achievement, Meta Cognitive Skills and Mental Alertness among students of the Experimental group, and the Researcher recommended the necessity of using the strategy of Climbing the Plateau in Teaching History, and paying attention to the development of Cognitive Achievement, Meta Cognitive Skills and Mental Alertness among the learners. With different Educational stages.
