PROPOSED ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN RAISING PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT FOR ACADEMIC AT MECCA UNIVERSITY

Abstract


The study aimed at proposing a role for knowledge management on raising the administrative performance of the academic administrators at Mecca region universities.
The study sample consisted of (214) male and female administrators from Mecca region universities (​​Umm Al Qura University، King Abdulaziz University &Taif University) of the academic year 2013/2014، and after collecting the data، it was analyzed using the arithmetic means، standard deviations، the matrix of correlation coefficients، and factor analysis.
The findings of the study showed that، the estimate of the study sample of the knowledge management requirements and the administrative performance of the academic administrators at Mecca region universities was medium، and the results revealed the existence of a statistically significant relationship at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.01)، positive correlation coefficients and a direct relationship between knowledge management and the administrative performance.
In the light of that، the study concluded to a proposed role for knowledge management on raising the administrative performance of the academic administrators at Mecca region universities.
