Abstract

The objective of the current research is to preparing a proposed unit based on contemporary technological and scientific achievements and measuring its effectiveness in developing preventive awareness among preparatory stage pupils, to achieve this target, experimental treatment materials have been prepared and include the proposed unit based on contemporary technological scientific achievements (teacher’s guide, student’s book), and also measuring tools and includes an achievement test, action test in situation, and attitude scale.
The research followed the descriptive analytical method, the experimental method: With its Same -experimental one-group design, the proposed unit has been applied to a group of preparatory second-grade students (they reached 40 students) to demonstrate its effectiveness in developing preventive awareness, The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at 0.01 level between the mean scores of students of the experimental group before and after teaching in both the achievement test and its levels, and action test in situation associated with preventive awareness and its dimensions, and attitude scale associated with contemporary technological scientific achievements associated with preventive awareness and its dimensions in favor of post-implementation, which confirms On the effectiveness of the proposed unit in developing preventive awareness among pupils, and the importance of including topics related to contemporary technological scientific achievements in the science curricula for the various educational stages.
