The Level of Job Satisfaction Among Faculty Members in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia According to some demographic variables

Abstract

Abstract
The study aims to measure the level of job satisfaction among faculty members, and to study the differences between members of the study sample in some demographic variables such as; gender, nationality, job grade, college and years of experience), on a sample estimated at 319 faculty members at Prince Sattam University Bin Abdul Aziz in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Job satisfaction scale was used to collect data, which were further analyzed through factor analysis, M-ANOVA And Chevy test. The results of the study indicated that the evaluation level of the weighted average for the scale of job satisfaction came as a mean, while the weighted average rose in only one dimension the efficiency of the administrative system, while the weighted average values for the dimensions: department leadership style, social and academic climate, teaching process, community service, Scientific research and publishing came with an average evaluation level, while the dimensions of the adequacy of buildings, equipment and services, and financial support with an evaluation level of the weighted average came low. The results of the analysis of multiple variance also indicated the presence of statistically significant effects of the variables (nationality, job degree and number of years of experience) on the dimensions of job satisfaction and the overall degree, while there was no statistically significant effect of the gender and academic specialization variables on the dimensions of job satisfaction and the overall degree, and in light of the results The study made a number of recommendations.
