Peer learning as an entrance to improve some of the Social Skills of Mentally Handicapped children who are able to learn in kindergarten integration

Abstract

      The aim of the research is to reveal the effectiveness of using the peer learning strategy in improving some of the social skills of children with mentally handicapped and able to learn "who are included in the kindergarten class, The sample of the study consisted of (15) children who were chosen from the kindergarten of Khaled bin Al-Walid Elementary School, divided into (5) ordinary children between the ages of (5-6) years as peer educators, and (10) mentally handicapped children capable of learning. Their temporal ages ranged between (8-11) years, and these children were divided into two experimental groups (10) students (5) students with intellectual disabilities , and (5) Ordinary students, while the control group included (5) students with intellectual disabilities who are able of learning,The research results as:There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores for the children of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements on the social skills scale in favor of the telemetry , There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0,01) between the mean levels of the scores of the experimental group children and the scores of the children of the control group in the dimensional measurement on the scale of
social skills in favor of the experimental group.
