Abstract

The world today is witnessing an increasing use of modern technology in industry, and a rapid change in the structure of knowledge. Information and communications technology play major role in modern production processes, which is characterized by knowledge-intensive production. Because of these developments, the global economy has turned into a knowledge-based economy. Economies and markets became more integrated and dependent on each other due to the prosperity of foreign trade, which helped to create a unified global "international" market. Such transformations were accompanied by major changes in the nature of jobs and business environment, in addition to the creation of new professions more in need of individuals with cognitive skills. This requires a highly skilled workforce graduating from industrial technical secondary schools and able to employ technology and its applications in industrial processes. The aim of this research is to make a comparison between the experiences of India and China in sustainable vocational education and training for graduates of industrial technical secondary schools, and to monitor the reality of these countries' experiences in this field in the light of the most important forces and cultural factors affecting it, in order to reach proposed mechanisms to develop sustainable vocational education and training for graduates These schools are in Egypt.
