Abstract


Strategic leadership is the most appropriate leadership model for the success of educational institutions, creatively balancing the external environment with values, objectives and organizational priorities. The problem of this study is to determine the degree to which KAUST deans of strategic leadership skills The study used the descriptive approach and a questionnaire was prepared consisting of six axes for the six strategic leadership skills: "Proactive, Challenge, Interpretation, Decision Making, Harmonization, Learning". The skills of Brigadier General are very large and that from the point of view of the research evidence and exceed the limits of sufficiency, and
The most important skills are (decision-making skill) and less skill (compatibility skill). An interview with experts in the field of planning was conducted to enrich the proposed perception of their experiences. The proposed scenario for the development of three skills is the skill of interpreting the challenge skill and the skill of consensus as the least skill available to the deans
