The readability of the images included in the solutions and mixtures chapter in the science textbook for the second grade medium in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The aim of this study is investigating the level of Readability of the images included in the chapter of solvents and mixtures are included in the science book for Second grade intermediate by reading the students of the image and the significance of (color -symbol - language - the main idea of the image).
  In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the qualitative approach, where collected Data from a sample was seen by 60 students using a test tool for Readability of images consisting open questions. In addition, we interview 10 students to verify the validity of the sample responses to the test questions and to clarify the other indications and problems in image Readability. The students were compared to the picture through the research tool only and the students read the picture in the normal context with the accompanying text through the textbook.
The results of the study indicated:
•The researcher found that there is a weakness in the Readability of some images according to the reading of the students, which were not read during the course, and the Readability of a good level of the negation of some images up to a high of 83% for images that are free from abstraction and reality, as well as images that have been explained and clarified by the teacher
