Optimism and its relationship to academic marketing and academic achievement for secondary school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract


This study aimed to identify the relationship between optimism and both of academic procrastination and academic achievement of high secondary school students in Jeddah, and to identify the prdective ability of optimism and academic procrastination with academic achievement. The researcher used the descriptive method, translated the optimism scale and the academic procrastination scale. The study sample consisted of (616) students. The results showed that there is a statistically significant negative relationship between optimism and academic procrastination, there is a statistically significant positive relationship between optimism and academic achievement, and the results also showed that optimism and academic procrastination are good predictors of academic achievement at students.
