Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the reality of flat geometry; and to show the skills needed to teach it in the courses of mathematics developed by answering the following main question: What is the reality of teaching geometry in mathematics courses developed from the point of view of mathematics teachers? The question is divided from this question: 1. What is the reality of the teaching of flat geometry; in the courses of mathematics developed in terms of the content of its teaching? 2. What is the reality of teaching flat geometry; in the courses of mathematics developed in terms of teaching skills? In order to answer these questions, the researcher used the analytical descriptive approach, which explains the reality of the teaching of flat geometry; in mathematics courses developed from the point of view of mathematics teachers in the governorate El Ardeyat. The research community may be the teachers of mathematics in the province of. ......., which number (109) teachers, in all stages of public education for the academic year 1437 AH / 1438 AH. The researcher distributed the questionnaires to all schools in the governorate through the work of the questionnaire electronically and sent to the teachers. The researcher received (42) responses from the total of the research community and they numbered (109) teachers, (11) were excluded for lack of validity for statistical analysis, (28%) were used for statistical analysis. Through the answer to the research questions, the researcher concluded that the courses of mathematics developed; Triangles have their characteristics and types, and the concept and characteristics of quadrilateral, rectangle, rectangle, parallax, trapezoidal shapes are highly regarded by the teachers. The circle and its elements, the drawing of parallel lines, and the drawing of orthogonal rectangles. The study also pointed out that the engineering drawing helps the teacher to explain the geometric shapes, helps the student understand the geometric shapes, and that the geometry drawing is important in the teaching of flat geometry
