Creative self-efficacy and goal orientation as predictions by neurotic perfection among university students who are academically excelling

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the relationship between  Neurotic Perfectionism by Goal Orientation And Creative Self – Efficacy  and identify how can Goal Orientation and Creative Self – Efficacy predicted by Neurotic Perfectionism among academically excelling university students , participated in this study (215) third year student from Sadat city university Their ages ranged between (20) years to (21.6) years, with an average age of (20.9) years and a standard deviation of (0.8) year, The study used: Neurotic Perfectionism scale (Prepared by: the author), Goal Orientation scale (prepared by: Rabea Rashwan, 2006) and Creative Self – Efficacy scale for Abbot (2010) Translated  by the author, The study found that: there is a statistically significant negative relationship between Neurotic Perfectionism and Mastery Goal Orientation, there is a statistically significant positive relationship between Neurotic Perfectionism and  performance Goal Orientation and a statistically significant negative relationship between Neurotic Perfectionism and Creative Self – Efficacy. It also found that: Neurotic Perfectionism can be predicted from Goal Orientation and Creative Self – Efficacy.
