Development of Administrative Processes at The Council of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in The Light of the Entrance of Strategic Management

Abstract

This study aimed to develop the administrative processes at the council of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in the light of the entrance of strategic management from the viewpoint of the university council staff. The study population consisted of )48(individuals, whereas the study samples consisted of (33) individuals. The questionnaire was chosen as a tool for the study. It consisted of six sections: the study variables, the availability of general requirements for strategic management in the University Council, the degree of availability of its formulation requirements, the degree of availability of its application requirements, the degree of availability of its evaluation requirements, and the presentation ofproposals for the council development in the light of strategic management. The most important results of the study were the following: 1- The availability of the general requirements for strategic management, its formulation requirements, and its application requirements in the Council of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University existed in a medium degree. 2- The availability of the evaluation requirements for strategic management in the Council of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University existed in a low degree. 3- The study sample agreed on the proposals of the University Council development in the light of strategic management in a high degree. 4- The study indicated that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to the study variables (degree, current work, and years of membership in the University Council) in the responses of the University Council members on the sections of the study tool. Based on the above, recommendations had been made. The most important recommendations were as follow: Senior management of the university must adopt the implementation of strategic management, and follow high standards of transparency in the selection of the University Council members
