Abstract


The study aimed to identify Transformational leadership of school leaders and their relationship to empowering the school board in public schools, the study used relational descriptive method, it applied the questionnaire as a data collection tool, the study sample included (122) of administrative employees in public school in the City of Makkah. The results showed that the features of Transformational leadership of school leaders was expressed as (agree), also the fields of Transformational leadership (inspirational motivation, personal consideration, Intellectual stimulation) of the school leader was expressed as (agree), while, the axis of (ideal effect) was ex[pressed as (strongly agree), the results also showed that the administrative empowerment of school leaders was expressed as (agree), the availability of administrative empowerment elements (authority delegation, motivation, communication and information sharing) of school leader was expressed as (agree), while the elements of (teamwork, training) were expressed as (strongly agree). Results showed that there was positive relationship between the degree of practicing Transformational leadership of school leaders (ideal effect, inspirational motivation, personal consideration, intellectual stimulation, total degree), and the Administrative Empowerment of the leaders (authority delegation, teamwork, training, motivation, communication and information sharing, total degree).
The most important recommendations were, the necessity of authorizing the transformational leadership method for all school leaders as a basic system and methodology where no one is allowed to violate, and the necessity of preparing training courses for all school leaders on transformational leadership subject, especially for new leaders, and to authorize passing the training course as a prerequisite for the position of a school leader, and to work on deepening the principle of work as a teamwork, and to reinforce the feeling of job security for school staff.
