Parental support and its relationship to self-management among a sample of children of soldiers stationed at the border at the intermediate and secondary stages in Jeddah

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the relationship between parental support dimensions and self-management dimensions and level of each and their differences according to educational stage of a sample of children of soldiers stationed on the Saudi border at the intermediate and secondary stages reached (203) students, and applied them a scale parental support for Amani Abdel-Maqsoud (2012) and the self-management measure of Huwaida Hanafi (2013), The study has reached several results, the most important of which are: a relationship between the total degree of parental support and the total self-management of the study sample, In the light of the results of the study, the researcher made several recommendations, the most prominent of which are: Activating guidance programs directed to parents to achieve parental support for self-management of children, especially in adolescence. Sons of soldiers stationed at the border by the relevant ministry of education and promote self-management programs and develop them through the curriculum
