Using service learning to teach geography to develop economic awareness among first-grade students

Abstract
       The research investigates the problem of the deficiency of economic awareness of secondary school students and aims at "using Service-learning in teaching Geography so as to raise economic awareness among secondary school students". In order to achieve this goal, a teacher's guide book- a student's book- has been made to test the cumulative overall of economic awareness. Firstly, Selecting the two study groups and testing their tools on the two experimental and control groups have already been done beforehand. Secondly, the Service-learning teaching strategy has been applied in teaching the experimental group while the traditional strategy has been used in teaching the control group. After that, the tools of the study have been applied afterwards on the two subject groups of the study. The results show an upward trend of (0.01) in the after application performance of the experimental group students compared to the prior application one in the overall cumulative test of economic awareness and its different levels.
