Psychological pressures of Mothers for children with Down syndrome in the State of Kuwait

The current research aims to identify the level of psychological stress among mothers of children with Down syndrome in Kuwait according to the variables (level of disability, economic situation, educational level of mother), The sample was randomly selected and chosen by chance. This means that each element of the study community should be included in the selected sample, Of the mothers of children with Down Syndrome from the Kuwaiti Society of Down Syndrome in Kuwait. The sample number was (66) individuals aged from (35: 55), The researcher used a measure of psychological stress in the families of the disabled  for (DR/ zidan Ahmed al- Sartawi , DR/ Abdel Aziz al-Shakhs), which contains (80) words measuring seven dimensions, The results of the study found that children of Down's syndrome put pressure and anxiety on their mothers. The higher the severity of the disability, the higher the pressure among mothers, and the differences between mothers with low socio-economic level in favor of mothers with high economic and social level.
