Abstract

ABSTRACT
The present study aimed at developing a multimedia program and identifying its impact on the achievement of the fourth-grade students who have difficulties in learning mathematics in terms of the skill of addition. The study made use of the experimental method and the study sample consisted of 10 female students as 5 female students represented the experimental group and 5 female students represented the control one of Al-Firdous National Schools in Riyadh in 1433-1434 A.H. The pre-test was administered to the experimental group and then the post-test after administering the multimedia program. The results of the study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control one in the pre-test indicating the equivalence of the two study groups in academic achievement before administering the multimedia program. There were differences between the control group and the experimental one in the post-test attributed to teaching using the multimedia program. There were differences between the experimental group in the pre and post-tests due to teaching using the multimedia program. In the light of the study findings, the researcher made a number of recommendations and suggestions that could be adopted when using a multimedia program.
