The level of self-concept among students with learning difficulties In the elementary stage

Study Abstract:
Study Title: (The level of self – concept for female students who have learning difficulties from special education teachers in primary stage)
The study aims at identifying whether there are statistically significant differences in the level of self – concept in all its dimensions for study sample members who are students with learning difficulties in terms of variables of monthly income، educational level of both fathers and mothers.
The researcher uses the descriptive method. She depends on questionnaire as a tool for gathering the study required information. The study has been applied on a sample made up of (30) female students who have learning difficulties in the primary stage in Riyadh for the year (1436 – 1437 A.H).
The study has some important results such as:
There is no statistically significant differences in the level of self – concept in all its dimensions in terms of the changing variable of monthly income.
There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the level of self – concept، social self-concept، and physical self – concept in terms of the changing variables of educational level of fathers in favor of the study sample members whose fathers' educational level is university graduate and those whose fathers' educational level is university post graduate.
There is no statistically significant differences in the level of family self – concept and moral self – concept in terms of the changing variable of the educational level of mothers whereas there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the personal self – concept، social self – concept، and physical self – concept in favor of the study sample members whose mothers' educational level is university graduate and those whose mothers' educational level is university post graduate.
The study has some recommendations such as
The necessity to making family aware of the importance of identifying basics and concepts of the self for female students who have learning difficulties.
Adopting positive behaviors that contribute to increasing the level of self –concept for female students who have learning difficulties by family.
Including university curricula that are related to the technique of dealing with female students who have learning difficulties in the faculty of education and other faculties.
