The Impact of Analog Text in Development of Language Communication Skills among Fifth Grade Pupils

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the impact of analog text in development of language communication skills among fifth grade pupils. Experimental method has been used a quasi-experimental design consisting of two groups: experimental and control group, The study population consists of all (8731) students in the fifth grade of primary school in Taif Governorate the study sample consisted of (47) female students from the Fifth grade primary, divided on the experimental (24) and control groups (23) and prepared a list of Language communication skills and Language communication test , teacher guide. using  t -test for independent groups and an equation to calculate the effect size study resulted in the following findings:List of Language communication skills (23) skills for Fifth grade primary was reached. Found differences between the experimental and control groups in the Written communication skills (Reading and writing) and total score in the direction of the experimental group. Found differences between the experimental and control groups in the oral communication skills (listening and talking) and total score in the direction of the experimental group.  The effect size ranged from 0.41 to 0.55 for the skills and total score, which is a significant impact size. In light of the findings of the study results researcher recommended a set of recommendations including: Adopting and relying on the language communication skills involved in building the Arabic language curriculum for the primary stage, train teachers to use analog text strategy because of it impact on the development of language communication skills.
