Abstract

The study aimed to identify the reality of using artificial intelligence tools in the management of basic education schools in the Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman. The study was conducted on a sample of 40 school principals and assistant principals in the Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate. A descriptive survey method and a questionnaire were used to collect information, which was finalized to include 19 statements divided into three dimensions: planning, organization, and control, after ensuring its validity, reliability, and suitability for application. The questionnaire was electronically distributed to the study sample.
The study reached the following results: The degree of use of artificial intelligence tools by the management of basic education schools in school management was found to be weak across all dimensions of the questionnaire (planning, organization, and control). Additionally, the results indicated that there were no individual differences in the use of artificial intelligence tools in managing basic education schools attributed to the variables (job, educational stage, gender). ), and the study's proposals came as follows: There are many tools used in school administration, and each tool has a different system, username, and password, which causes a burden on school administrations, such as Ejadah, Mawrid, and the Educational Portal. Therefore, the proposal came to integrate these tools into one tool to facilitate the task for school administrations. The study recommended providing financial and technical support for school administrations, as well as offering professional development programs for principals and assistant principals to utilize artificial intelligence tools in the management of basic education schools.
