Abstract

This study aimed to explore the anticipated educational role of Egyptian universities in promoting awareness of the Islamic methodology for achieving economic security among students. It employed a descriptive methodology and utilized a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection. The study sample consisted of 463 faculty members from the faculties of Education, Commerce, and Islamic Studies, categorized according to variables such as gender, faculty affiliation, and academic rank. The findings indicated that the study participants reported a high level of agreement with the statements related to the anticipated educational role of Egyptian universities in promoting awareness of the Islamic methodology for achieving economic security through work and productivity, from the perspective of Islamic education. Similarly, they showed high levels of agreement on the role of universities in enhancing awareness of Islamic consumption principles and economic security from the same perspective. Additionally, the responses reflected high agreement regarding the role of universities in promoting awareness of economic security through trade, as informed by Islamic educational values. The results further revealed no statistically significant differences in responses based on gender. However, statistically significant differences were observed based on faculty affiliation, favoring the Faculty of Education, and academic rank, favoring professors over assistant professors and lecturers.
