Developing the Role of Al-Azhar University in the Development of the Culture of Innovation among its Students According to the Strategic Entrepreneurship Approach

Abstract

The study aims at identifying the theoretical foundations of the culture of innovation and strategic entrepreneurship, determining the level of (the role of Al-Azhar University in developing the culture of innovation, and its obstacles) among students according to the strategic entrepreneurship approach from the teaching staff’s point of view, revealing statistically significant differences among the average of the sample responses on their vision of (the role of Al-Azhar University in developing the culture of innovation, and its obstacles) among students according to the strategic entrepreneurship approach, which is attributed to the differences in variables (job grade - type of the faculty - its accreditation - administrative position - gender), and presenting a proposed vision for developing the role of Al-Azhar University in the development of the culture of innovation among its students according to the strategic entrepreneurship approach. The study used the descriptive approach to achieve its goals, and a questionnaire was designed and applied to a sample of (387) teaching staff  from Al-Azhar University. The study concluded that the level of the role of Al-Azhar University in the development of the culture of innovation among its students was “medium”, The study also found that the level of obstacles to develop a culture of innovation among students was high. The study also revealed that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) regarding the university’s overall role in the development of the culture of innovation among its students according to the variables (job grade, type of the faculty, its accreditation, administrative position, gender) in favor of (professor, practical faculties, the accredited faculties, occupying an administrative position, males) respectively. In conclusion, the study presented a proposed vision for developing the role of Al-Azhar University in the development of the culture of innovation among its students according to the strategic entrepreneurship approach
