Abstract

The study aimed to identify recent trends in teaching English to people with disabilities in light of international experiences. To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was followed, which depends primarily on studying reality or the phenomenon as it is, working to describe it accurately, and expressing it qualitatively, and then arriving at conclusions that contribute to describing the current reality in order to develop it for the better.
Through reviewing Arab and foreign studies and references related to the subject of the study, the researcher reached the following recommendations:

1. The importance of using assistive technology and multimedia in teaching English to students with disabilities, as it helps enhance their understanding and improve their language skills.
2. The necessity of adapting teaching methods and strategies to suit the needs of each category of students with disabilities, whether they are hearing, visual, motor, or mental disabilities.
3. Providing a supportive and safe educational environment for students with disabilities, taking into account their special needs and increasing their motivation to learn.
4. The importance of training and qualifying teachers to deal with students with disabilities and use appropriate educational methods for them.
Cooperating and exchanging experiences with developed countries in the field of education for people with disabilities, and benefiting from their successful experiences.
