Summary of the Research

Research title  :    The Literary Interest and    The Cognitive Processes of  PASS Model and Their Relationship to the Writing Performance in English Language among the Preparatory School Pupils
setting of the research  :Ain shams university ,  College of  Women ,Psychology Department
The sample research: The sample of the present research consisted of (40)pupils among third year of prep school for girls, in Tahta educational administration,  in Sohag, as their ages ranged between(14,5-15,5) years, during 2016-2017 AD and they formed the descriptive sample.
The research  hypotheses:
1-    There is a correlation between the literary interest and the writing performance in English language among the preparatory school pupils.
2-    There is a correlation between the performance on the cognitive processes of (PASS) model and writing performance among the preparatory school pupils.
3-    There is a correlation among the performance on the cognitive processes of (PASS) model and the literary interest together and the writing performance in English language among the preparatory school pupils.
4-    There is a correlation among the performance on the cognitive processes and the writing performance and the literary interest and the cultural and social level of the family among the preparatory school pupils.
The research tools :to validate the study hypotheses, the researcher used the following  tools:
1)    The literary interest test among the preparatory school pupils (prepared by the researcher)
2)    The cognitive assessment system (CAS) for the year 2006. Prepared by: Ayman Eldeeb Mohammed , Supervision: Safaa Alaser
3)    The writing performance test among the preparatory school pupils  (prepared by the researcher)
4)    A social and cultural scale among the preparatory school pupils(  prepared by   the researcher  )
Results
   The research  results found the relationship among the literary interest and the cognitive processes of PASS model and and the writing performance in English language among the preparatory school pupils.
