A proposed vision for the professional development of new teachers in Saudi Arabia in light of the Japanese approach to continuous improvement kaizen

Abstract

The present study aimed at building a proposed vision for the professional development of the new teachers in Saudi Arabia in the light of the Japanese approach to continuous improvement by defining the theoretical bases for the professional development of the new teachers and the introduction of continuous improvement in contemporary educational literature, The professional development practices of new teachers in Saudi Arabia. According to the nature of the current study, the descriptive approach was used as the appropriate method for the nature of this study. The questionnaire was also used as a tool to collect data and information needed to answer questions The study tool was applied to a sample of members of the school community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (school leaders, educational supervisors, teachers). The total sample size was 419 members. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: (0,05), for the total importance and the total gap according to the gender variable, and there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) for the total availability for the benefit of a female; the mean for females was 96.64, 92.71), there were no differences with respect to the total availability with respect to the function variable and the existence of differences Statistical differences for the total importance and gap for the benefit of a school leader; the existence of statistically significant differences according to the specialization variable, for the total importance and gap for the benefit of the scientific; the existence of significant differences for the total availability in favor of literature, the mean of literary (94.88) (92.29). According to the results of the study, a proposed scenario for the professional development of new teachers in Saudi Arabia was developed in the light of the Japanese approach to continuous improvement (kaizen).
