Abstract

The research aimed to reveal the relationship between persuasive intelligence and: self-efficacy and psychological well-being, and the possibility of predicting persuasive intelligence through self-efficacy and psychological well-being, and to determine the differences in persuasive intelligence in light of the variables: gender, specialization, and educational stage. The sample consisted of (256) male and female students from King Abdulaziz University, with an average age of (27.53), and a standard deviation of (9.59). The research tools were the persuasive intelligence scale (prepared by the researcher), the psychological well-being scale (prepared by the researcher), and the general self-efficacy scale written by (Jerusalem & Schwarzer, 1986), prepared and translated by (Radwan, 1997). Using the correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis, and analysis of variance, the results resulted in a positive and statistically significant correlation between persuasive intelligence and each of: self-efficacy, psychological well-being, and the possibility of persuasive intelligence with information about self-efficacy and three dimensions of psychological well-being: independence, positive relationships, and purpose in life. There are no statistically significant differences in persuasive intelligence depending on the variables of gender, specialization, and educational stage. The results were discussed and interpreted, along with some suggestions and recommendations.
