Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the relationship between time management skills and academic achievement for a sample of second-grade secondary school students (general track) in Jeddah city. It also aims to determine whether there is a positive or negative relationship between the variables. To achieve the research objectives, a correlational descriptive approach was used, and the time management scale developed by Al-Zahrani (2010) was applied to a sample of 60 students selected randomly, representing 44% of the research population. The research found a strong positive correlation and statistically significant relationship (α ≤ 0.01) between academic achievement and time management skills. The study results indicated that the level of time management skills was generally high, especially in the five sub-dimensions, for students who obtained high scores in time management skills. The research also provided recommendations highlighting the importance of mastering time management skills and their impact on students' academic achievement.
