Abstract

The research aimed to develop the grammatical concepts assigned to primary school students through the use of the Edelson model. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the descriptive approach in surveying the opinions of experts and specialists, and reviewing previous literature and studies. To determine appropriate grammatical concepts for primary school students; With the aim of coming up with a list of grammatical concepts, and determining the students’ level in it, I also prepared tools to test grammatical concepts, and I also used the experimental method through the use of an experimental design with two groups (experimental and control), It also resulted in a low level of students at this stage in these concepts. The results of the research also confirmed the effectiveness of the Edelson model in developing grammatical concepts among students. The research results showed statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 between the average scores of the experimental group before and after studying the content based on the Edelson model in favor of the experimental group, as the calculated “t” value was greater than its tabulated value, which indicates the effectiveness of this model in developing grammatical concepts among students. Primary school students. Finally, the research presented a set of important recommendations and proposals necessary to treat weakness in grammatical concepts among primary school students
