The reality of the use of computer information teachers for electronic educational platforms in teaching and their directions towards it

Abstract


This present study aimed to identify the reality of the use of computer teachers for educational platforms in teaching. It also aimed to identify the obstacles faced by computer teachers in the use of electronic educational platforms in teaching and the extent of differences in the attitudes of computer teachers towards the use of electronic educational platforms in teaching according to two variables: Teaching experience and scientific level.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used descriptive analytical method and adopted the questionnaire to collect data and after verifying the validity of the questionnaire, the researcher distributed it electronically to the study community, which consists of computer teachers in Riyadh in the second semester of 1438/1439 H, a total number of 780 teachers received the questionnaire, and the number of retrieved and analyzable questionnaires were 70. The results of the study showed that the study community is going with reality of the use of electronic educational platforms by the teachers in the field. And the use of electronic educational platforms in teaching mostly appears during classes, followed by the use related to students’ skills.
It also revealed that the main obstacles faced by computer teachers in applying the electronic educational platforms for teaching were obstacles related to school administration followed by the obstacles related to curriculum followed by the obstacles related to the teachers and finally the obstacles related to the students.
In conclusion, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations, most notably Work to reduce the burden on computer teachers and provide for them the enough time to implement educational platforms. Provide efficient as well as scientificeducational and training sessions for computer teachers in order to allow them to competently use educational platforms.Encourage computer teachers to use teaching platforms in teaching
