Abstract

The human being has surpassed strides of science and experience, which enabled him to achieve the greatest degree of compatibility and adaptation to his inner environment, it must be recognized that science is what distinguishes civilizations and states from each other, which made this last race for the attainment of science and knowledge, so the centers of education became the first Labneh in any building, kindergarten and primary schools, up to the university, which is the platform that various societies aspire to develop in human civilizations, where it is incumbent upon them to form researchers and academics who are able to assume responsibility for developing these nations for their various fields, and on this basis the university student is the center This process is because it is the pillar of the nation and I promised it in order to achieve a better future.
The university stage that young people go through is one of the most dangerous and most influential stages of his direction and personality, as the university is a world in which young people gain knowledge and experience in life and self-reliance, but there are problems and difficulties experienced by young people that may be represented in responses to anxiety and feelings of alienation.
And alienation is one of the most obvious of these problems, as one of its manifestations was the alienation of man from himself and his society, which also led to more disturbances in him. Scientists have paid attention to this phenomenon and its spread and confirmed its existence and that is the indication of Mr. (1992) that “the phenomenon of alienation is a social phenomenon that he cared about Many thinkers and writers ”p. 174.
And alienation exists as long as there is a gap between the individual and society, and whenever the field in which the expressive relationship appears, and as long as the individual has idealistic ideas that seek to achieve them and transform the conditions of society without attaining them, educational institutions are often a weapon with two borders towards alienation, so they are either a tool to deepen Among students, either as a means of adapting them to themselves and their societies, the educational system cannot be neutral, it is either a factor of building the individual and society, or a demolition factor for them, although education and subjugation are essentially two opposing factors that invalidate one another, but education Sometimes it contributes to deepening alienation when many students are pushed into the circles of authoritarianism, loss, isolation, loss of identity and separation from the self and society, and works to create a state of alienation that is stripping students of their humanity.
The university can be a source of alienation through many means, including lack of respect for professors for their students, failure of students to contribute to the design of their programs, students ’awareness of the lack of a strong relationship between what they study at the university on the one hand, and their future work, and their sense that their evaluation of their teachers is not used to develop standards, Low academic level and low academic level.
The university may also play a role that helps in alienation by depriving students of the opportunities for interaction between them and excluding students from the decision-making process and failure to make students feel a sense of belonging, poor relationship with members of the teaching staff, and the presence of a stressful and closed climate within the university and the lack of many activities, despite the From the divergent views on the various concepts of alienation, it is almost agreed upon its popularity as a socio-cultural phenomenon, and it called it a feature of the times.
The foreign student experiences two contradictory worlds, carrying in his personality two distant cultures that are difficult to bring together, a traditional culture for his country, and the other culture of the country in which he studies, and between the first world and the second world the incoming student stands incapable of connecting between his past and the past. From social situations, loss of identity is incapable of even adapting to reality, reconciliation or coexistence with the other in order to reproduce oneself, and from here it can be said that the expatriate student is living a state of alienation, and manifestations of alienation can be expressed among international students in social isolation where he feels The student of exclusion and rejection as a contradiction to social acceptance, and alienation from oneself appear in the academic milieu, which is represented in the separation of the individual from himself and the non-conformity with it so that he creates an unrealistic self as a result of the effects of social pressures, including the systems, customs and traditions it carries.
