The Role of Student Activities in Developing Soft Skills among Student Teachers at Al-Azhar University in Light of the Reflections of the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the reality of the role of student activities in the Faculty of Education in developing soft skills among student teachers at Al-Azhar University  in the light of the reflections of the fourth industrial revolution from the students' point of view. The research used the descriptive curriculum survey method, and The questionnaire was relied upon as a tool was applied to students of the third and fourth years in all divisions of the college, The research reached the most important results: Soft skills have become necessary for graduates in general, and student teachers in particular, in light of the renewed future roles associated with the fourth industrial revolution, and that the responses of the sample members of the students towards all the axes of the questionnaire came in a medium degree, and the first axis related to the role of student activities in developing communication skills ranked first with a relative weight of (2.2602), and it is achieved to a large extent, while the fourth axis related to the role of activities in developing digital skills came in the last rank with a relative weight of (2.1025), and it is achieved with a medium degree. Based on the results of the research, a proposal was developed to activate the role of student activities in the college in developing soft skills among student teachers at Al-Azhar University in the light of the reflections of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
