Barriers to using virtual reality technology in mathematics education from the point of view of teachers in some variables

Abstract

The aim of the study is to know the obstacles to employing virtual reality technology in mathematics teaching from the point of view of mathematics teachers in Jeddah in light of some variables. The researcher used the descriptive approach to describe and analyze data. The tool used was the questionnaire, and the research community consisted of all math teachers in Jeddah. The research sample was limited to (93) mathematics parameters, and the most important results of the research were: the general arithmetic mean of obstacles to the use of virtual reality in mathematics teaching from the point of view of mathematics subjects in Jeddah with a degree (strongly agree), and the absence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance ( α = 0.05) between the averages of individuals responses to the research sample about obstacles to the use of virtual reality in mathematics teaching from the point of view of mathematics subject matter in Jeddah due to the variable of the educational stage, and the variable of years of experience, and the research recommended the necessity of providing devices and equipment with special specifications for the use of virtual reality in the teaching of mathematics .
