Abstract

Study title: the cultural and social obstacles of creativity for secondary stage students from the viewpoint of principals, schools and teachers. Academic year: 2011/2012G Study objectives: identifying the cultural and social obstacles of creativity for secondary stage students in addition to identifying the proposals that participate in developing creativity level of students. Study society and sample: secondary stage principals and teachers in Alquwaiah governorate with number of (421). Study instrument: the researcher had used the questionnaire as a method to collect information and data related to the study that considered one of the most popular and spreading instrument in the field of human sciences. Analytical methods: data was analyzed through using SPSS according to the following statistical methods; frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, Pearson Correlation Coefficient to know the correlation degree, Alpha Cronbach to know stability degree, ANOVA, and T- test to know the significance of differences between means. Study results: the main results are:
 The most important cultural obstacles of creativity for secondary stage students, from the viewpoint of school's principals and teachers are (the weakness of society culture in enthusing the creative thinking, traditions always decrease creators' motivation, the ruling culture fights the new opinions, some creators don’t show their creativity to avoid envy besides concentrating on past culture and haven’t any desire to change).  One of the most important social obstacles for secondary stage students, from the viewpoint of school's principals and teachers are (limitedness of scientific labs to apply creative thoughts, low number of specialists in advanced creative programs introduced by education administrations) The study recommendations: The researcher offers some recommendations that participate in overcoming upon the cultural and social obstacles for students of high schools;
