The Effectiveness of a Cognitive Behavioral Preventive Counseling Program in Developing Digital intelligence (DQ) for a Sample of Preparatory School Students Exposed to Internet Risks

Abstract

      The Current research aims to investigate the effectiveness of A Cognitive Behavioral Preventive Counseling Program in developing the Digital Intelligence of a sample of Preparatory School Students Exposed to the Risks of the Internet, The psychometric sample consisted of (391) Students at the Preparatory stage , taken from some governmental schools in Cairo Governorate, The students' ages  ranged between (13-14) years, the experimental sample consisted of (60) Students which were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a Control group, each of which was (30) Students.The program included various strategies, such as cognitive reconstruction, dialogue and discussion, and learning via modeling.
    The results indicated that the statistics of the Digital Intelligence of the experimental goup exceeded that of the control group after applying the stated program.the results demonstrated the effectiveness of the preventive counseling program in developing the digital intelligence of the research sample.
