Abstract: The study aimed to investigate the professional development for the academic staff at the palestiniand technical educational colleges; therefore, the researcher used the desceiptive in the modern higher education institutions. Then the reaserchir investigated the reality of professional development in the Palestinian technical colleges, the outcomes of the study suggested three approaches to improve the professional development in the Palestinian technical colleges, such professional development based on training packages, professional development based on action researcg, and professional development based on competencies.
